Creating and Using Form Templates in FeatureOS

If you often create similar forms or surveys, templates save you time and keep things consistent. With FeatureOS, you can build templates once and reuse them across your workspace.

✅ Why Use Templates?

  • Save time → No need to build the same form from scratch every time.

  • Ensure consistency → Standardize surveys, onboarding forms, or feedback requests.

  • Flexibility → Edit templates as you go, or customize them for each use case.

⚙️ How to Create a Template

  1. Go to Forms → Templates in the left sidebar.

  2. Click + Create Template.

  3. Enter a Title for your template.

  4. Select a Form Type:

    • List Form → All questions on one page (good for registrations, applications, quick surveys).

    • Wizard Form → One question per step (good for guided surveys, quizzes, onboarding).

  5. (Optional) Assign a Category to organize templates.

  6. Click Create.

📝 Adding Fields & Questions

After creating your template:

  • Add the fields and questions you need.

  • Save your template for future use.

  • When building new forms, you can apply this template to quickly set up the structure.

✏️ Editing Templates

  • You can edit existing templates anytime to add or remove fields.

  • When applied to a form, templates can still be customized further.

💡 Example Use Cases

  • Standard interview feedback forms.

  • Recurring surveys (like NPS or employee feedback).

  • Onboarding forms for new customers.

👉 Templates in FeatureOS make form-building faster, more consistent, and scalable, perfect for teams handling recurring feedback cycles.
