# Customizing your Roadmap

_By Swathy · Apr 24, 2026_

By default, the FeatureOS Roadmap comprises three columns: Planned, In Progress, and Completed. However, you can customize Roadmap lanes as you see fit. Whether you aim to expand your roadmap with up to five columns or streamline it to a more concise two columns, the choice is entirely yours.

### Accessing Lane Settings

1. Log in to your **Dashboard**.

2. Navigate to the **Roadmap** section in the left sidebar.

3. Click the **Edit Columns** button located at the top right corner of the Roadmap view.

### Customizing Your Lanes

Once you enter the edit mode, you can manage how your roadmap is structured and displayed to the public:

- **Edit Lane Names:** Click the **Edit** button on any lane card to rename it. This allows you to use terminology that fits your specific workflow (e.g., changing "Planned" to "Q3 Roadmap").

- **Enable/Disable Lanes:** Use the **On/Off toggle** next to each column title.

    - **Enabled:** The column is visible on your public FeatureOS roadmap.

    - **Disabled:** The column is hidden from the public view but retained in your dashboard for internal use.
