# List vs. Wizard Forms in FeatureOS

_By Sathi · Sep 18, 2025_

When creating forms in FeatureOS, you can choose between two types of layouts: **List** and **Wizard**. Each type offers a unique way of presenting questions to respondents and is suited for different use cases.

## 📋 List Form

In a **List Form**, all questions appear on a single page. Respondents can see the entire form at once and answer questions in any order before submitting.

**Key Benefits:**

- Fast and straightforward for short forms.

- Best when the number of questions is small and context is simple.

- Respondents can review and edit their answers easily before submission.

**Ideal Use Cases:**

- Quick polls (e.g., “Which feature do you use most?”).

- Short product satisfaction surveys.

- Gathering feedback that doesn’t require detailed navigation or logic.

## 🧭 Wizard Form

In a **Wizard Form**, questions are shown one step at a time. Respondents navigate through the form sequentially, with the option to apply **Navigation Rules** that branch or skip questions based on previous responses.

**Key Benefits:**

- Makes long forms feel less overwhelming by breaking them into steps.

- Allows advanced logic with Navigation Rules, showing only relevant questions.

- Improves clarity by keeping respondents focused on one question at a time.

**Ideal Use Cases:**

- Customer satisfaction surveys with conditional paths.

- Onboarding or qualification surveys where context matters.

- Product research where detailed branching logic improves data quality.
