# Using AI Summary in Knowledge Base Articles

FeatureOS makes it simple to give your readers a quick overview of any article with the **AI Summary** feature. Instead of manually writing summaries, you can generate them with a single click, and they will instantly appear live on your Knowledge Base.

## How to Generate an AI Summary

1.  Open any Knowledge Base article in your FeatureOS dashboard.
    
2.  Locate the **AI Summary** section at the top of the article.
    
3.  Click **Generate**.
    
4.  The system will create a short, context-aware summary of the article and display it above the content.
    
5.  This summary is automatically visible to readers in your live Knowledge Base.
    

## How to Remove an AI Summary

If you no longer want a summary displayed:

1.  Go back to the **AI Summary** section of the article.
    
2.  Click **Clear**.
    
3.  The summary will be removed immediately from both the dashboard and the live Knowledge Base.
    

## Why Use AI Summaries?

-   **Faster to read:** Readers can grasp the main idea before diving into details.
    
-   **Improved navigation:** Helps users decide if the article contains what they’re looking for.
    
-   **Time-saving:** You don’t need to manually write or update summaries, AI does it for you.
