Switching from Canny to FeatureOS is super easy. The migration process from Canny to FeatureOS is designed to be seamless without any downtime during and after the migration.

There are two migration paths you can choose:

Zero-touch migration from Canny

The Zero-touch migration strategy is the simplest of them all. It has just two steps:

  1. Contact our support and add our email to your Canny account.

  2. Give us sometime, and we will handle the migration for you.

It is that simple. Nothing more, nothing less. Once your organization is ready to use on FeatureOS, we will intimate you.

API-based migration from Canny

The API-based migration from Canny to FeatureOS is a little bit technical and we will need your help here.

  1. From your Canny dashboard, fetch the API key.

  2. Securely share the API key with us, and we will take care of the rest for you.

The only caveat we have in this method is the amount of information and limitations we might face with the Canny API (sometimes).

Can I migrate from Canny to FeatureOS myself?

You could try using a CSV import, but it is going to take you longer than the other methods.

We do not offer a direct integration with Canny at this time due to their API limitations and how many posts we can access per minute from their services. This significantly put back our efforts to automate the migration process from Canny to FeatureOS.

Yes. FeatureOS is designed to work with languages other than English (US). You can respond to your customers' queries in multiple languages, and keep your context relevant to the user.

I have thousands of posts on Canny. Can you migrate?

Yes. FeatureOS can handle the migration without any hiccups. As long as Canny's APIs work without rate limiting us, we can migrate the posts from Canny to FeatureOS.

Usually less than 24 hours, depending on the number of posts, votes, users, comments and more. Sometimes, this process could take longer since we do a sanity check after the migration is complete to make sure the data is valid.
